Tansel Yucelen
Tansel Yucelen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Director of the Laboratory for Autonomy, Control, Information, and Systems (LACIS), and the Director of the Forum on Robotics and Control Engineering (FoRCE) at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Prior to joining the University of South Florida, he received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he also held research engineer positions, and was an Assistant Professor at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. His research interests include adaptive and robust control of safety-critical systems; distributed estimation and control of networked multiagent systems; resilient and secure robotics, autonomous vehicles, human-in-the-loop systems, and cyber-physical systems; and large-scale modular systems. Dr. Yucelen is an Associate Fellow of AIAA, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of the National Academy of Inventors. He has won numerous research, teaching, and technical contribution awards, and co-authored more than 325 conference and journal publications.
